My guild has decided to do a mystery quilt. Each month we get a pattern for block(s) to do every month. If you do not finish your block you will not get a new pattern for the following month. Good way to keep from getting a new UFO added to my list. hehehehe!!!!! I will post as we go along and will show you my fabrics and each block as it is made. None are ready for show yet keep checking :D

I have never done one before so picking fabrics is scary. What is your experience with a mystery quilt. Post a pic if you have done one.

    Happy Quilting

I am getting ready to one with a small quilt group, but have waited to start until I get my quilts for Japan done, working under a deadline with that....I did one other mystery quilt and wasn't happy with the finished top. It is a risk you take, many other people loved theirs. The one coming up, they know me and what I like so I am looking forward to it. Have fun with yours and please share your thoughts and pictures when finished

These are the colors/fabrics I am using for my mystery quilt. Not my usual colors going outside of my box.
The focal fabric is our state flower a Bluebonnet.
