A few weeks ago, I found this on Craigslist in Springfield, MO, first thing ever purchased from the list. Anyway, it is a 1948 Featherweight and it had been sitting for years, I think in a basement, and was dirty and smelled terrible. I took it to a quilt shop owner in Lamonte, MO and left it to be cleaned and gone through. I picked it up today, and it sews like a dream. I can't wait for the next quilt class so I can show off "Baby".
