I have a Featherweight and everytime I sit and sew at it I wonder who was the last person that used it?
What were they making?
Who was it being made for?
What kind of things where happening around him/her? Kids running around, mending spouses or kids clothes, making a quilt, etc?
You will love it and cherish it and never sell it. You'll pass it along to someone you love who will do the same.
Congratulations! She is a beauty!

Oh you are going to love her. It makes her extra special to have come from your hubby's mother. And I have a table that looks almost exactly like yours. Mine might have more scratchs. I hope you love having the table as much as I do. Congratulations.

I feel so happy to have her. She made clothes for my DH and DSIL when they were children. I used her some after I married when visiting the in-laws. I was the last one to use her after my DMIL became unable to use her any more. She means so very much to me. Every time I use her I will feel close to my MIL again. She was the most wonderful woman. I loved her so deeply and miss her so very much. She was my second mother, and she raised the most wonderful son.

I have some of the attachments. The case is showing its age, so I am going to order a new one. I had to download the manual from the Singer website, but it was free. I am taking her to be serviced and cleaned on Saturday. She is great, and I can use her on my deck on nice days to sew and enjoy the woods behind my house.
