Well, I finally found a Featherweight. I go to lots of classes and retreats and wanted something lightweight to use and also, well, wanted something with character. I found both in "Lilly". She's awesome! I took a quilting class at my LQS, my first ever attempt at paper piecing and Lilly really hung in there and proved herself. The second photo is the Glacier Star that Lilly and I made together. Just finished it on Saturday!

That is a VERY impressive first paper-piecing attempt.

Usually people start with an 8" star block. ;-)

It's a beautiful quilt. Really awesome.

If Lily came to my house, could she do a quilt that beautifully? I suspect the operator had much to do with the success LOL

WOW!! Lilly is so pristene and perfectly new looking and your glacier star quilt is drop dead gorgous. I am going to have to break down and buy one of those Judy N. patterns.

Your quilt is beautiful. You made it on your featherweight? Great job. I love my featherweight too. I couldn't think of a good name but every time I looked at her, "Little Sweet" is what I ended up calling her.

I just bought that pattern and after looking at it I thought I had lost my mind. You and Lilly did a great job. Was it really hard?
