    My New Janome

Thought you would like to see the new Horizon MC 8900 QCP I bought while on the quilting cruise last week.

This is what she looks like with all the lights on.

I've already sewn several seams and also experimented with the lettering feature. Tomorrow I may try to quilt a table runner that I need to send to my dd.

She is delicious. I am very jealous.
I promise not to buy any more fabric until I see something I really like. Or it's on sale. Or I think it might match something.

Looks like it may be a knee lift. When pushed with a knee it lowers the presser foot.

GULP. You're really making my mouth water!!!
Last weekend I was in my LQS and treated to the full sales talk about that very machine. I WANT! My Janome 6600 is still performing very nicely, though.

Being skinny isn't easy, so I gave up and opted for being sexy instead. (aunty acid)

A quilt cruise and an 8900. I'm surprised your heart didn't seize up on overload

I am absolute in love with my 8900, it goes so nice with my hand crank and treadle!

No, it didn't come with the floor thread cutter, although there is a port for one in the foot control. The floor cutter is extra.

The silver thing is a knee lift, used for raising and lowering the presser foot. When doing piecing on it, I use it a lot. I remove it for FMQ, though. It just gets in the way.
