I bought a top of the line Pfaff about 15 years ago. Probably not the case anymore, but at the time, it was the only machine that had IDT and the needle down feature. She is still going strong after lots of heavy use. My mom has a similar model that is 10 years older. Hers is still going strong although I am sure mine gets heavier use. I have 2 old Singers, but the walking foot doesn't hold a candle to the IDT! I do not think you will regret your purchase. Enjoy!

A new machine is always exciting but for a moment, and only a moment buyers remorse. I purchased a new Pfaff in October...I love it.

I am glad you have no regrets. When I purchased a new machine in October, I had buyers remorse for about 2 days. Then once I became more familiar with it, it was good. Now that I have actually made a few quilts on it, I love my Pfaff.
