Here are the pictures of the empty room. It has been painted bright white, and now has 2 bookcases and some shelves. DH is still working on building shelving in the closet. One window looks at my mama's house and the other into the back shed.
I'm putting blinds on the icky window and cafe curtains on the light emitting one.

Here goes my saga of
DESIGNING MY OWN SEWING ROOM ON A DIME

Isn't it fun to start with a clean slate? I hope someday I can do that too!

Isn't it wonderful to start from scratch and create what you want for your sewing haven?
Have fun and enjoy the process.

I'm really excited. We just hung the one curtain and moved the first sewing machine in. Her name is Grandma, she is my Singer 132Q.

I can't move anything else in until he finishes painting.

This is fun! and it makes my living room bigger!

Ah! A whole sewing room? Good for you! Will you make a "design wall" of flannel or batting or something? How fun to put everything away on all your shelves and in your cabinets. I am so jealous!

(I use the dining room. I was supposed to use PART of the dining room, but these days it's looking more like a craft room than one you would eat in. So I guess I have a craft room, too- LOL!)

Hey! I just thought of something! Why don't you hang batting/flannel over the icky window for a design wall?
