my new sewing room
#74
Thank you all to who is seeing my sewing room for the first time.
Boston1954-Attleboro is about 2 hours from where I live.
Aunt Doggie-my cutting table was made specifically custom for me. No it is not made out of kitchen cabinets. I am relatively short, so I searched locally for someone to make me that table. I love that table.
The L cabinets against the wall are cabinets that my hubby made me. So no they aren't kitchen cabinets either.
Although I am sure you could make kitchen cabinets work. Before I had the cutting table made for me, I almost bought a butcher table. That would have been perfect too, but it as still a little too tall for me. So I went with this table.
Jingleberry, I usually keep the room relatively neat. I can't work in a messy room. So, the majority of it is neat.
I don't have that particular long arm anymore. I sold it to eparys (a member on this board), but I will be filling that space up with a new one, hopefully by the end of April.
Thanks to all of you for your kind comments.
Sandi

And I thought I was organized! I'm with you-I can't sew in a unorganized, messy room. It has to be all in place and after each project it's cleaned and reorganized again! Ready for the next project. Thanks for sharing and great ideas on the polar notions site. I'm shopping now!

Wow, how lucky are you? Your sewing room is fantastic. I would love to create in a room like that. You have a lot of space and everything is so organized...love it.
I am organizing my fabrics like you have. Mistymarie(another group member) recently posted pictures of her sewing room and has her fabric wrapped on fabric boards her sister makes. I was so impressed with her room as I am with yours so I am copying you both.
I really like your house quilt too.
