That's why I just passed one up a mth ago for same price. I gave it the lift test...it failed...If I can't move on own I just can't deal with heavy furniture anymore.

this one is smaller then the ones we have looked at in the past.. dh carried it all by himself.. i am going thru some pain issues so i haven't attempted to lift or even check it out for that matter.. i will wait until it's all pretty and ready to sew on..

Looks like a model 27 - just what I am looking for. That is the machine I learned to sew on. Even the cabinet looks like my mom's except for the drawer fronts.

yep.. dh measured it today and it is a 27... we bought it from someone who's grandmother had it since the beginning of time..lol
