The pattern was in a pamplet Ducky sent me. It is the same though as Quilters cache. Austin or Simple Star except for all 9 base blocks are the same size. so your geese on each of four sides of the center is not a rectangle. Thank you Ducky. I absolutly love it.

Beautiful. As a hand quilter I love all the open space you will have to quilt.

I just took the class from Jean Brown on how to use the Aunt Becky, I want to make a project just for it. I want to make something with a lot of open space, to practice this new technique. I am thinking an Ohio Star.

Oh, gosh. What's an Aunt Becky?

I enjoy hand work, but every time I try to quilt, for some reason, I don't pick up the backing. My stitches look o.k on the front, and I can feel that I caught the batting, but there's nothing on the backing. Thanks for any help you can give.

Very nice. Did you want the quilting to be centered on each section or just an all over the place kind of thing?

The quilting is shadow quilting. It is 1/4 inch from the seams. in the four patch I mimicked the stars.
