Wow that is awesome!! Good for you ..I to am in the process of making my first quilt for me!..My DH just recently (after many months of complaining, moaning and cranky behavior) bought us a king size plush bed....It really is pretty thanks for sharing!

Love your quilt. That's a lot of embroidery. I don't have that much time to embroider so my quilts tend to be more piecing with a little bit of embroidery, so I'm always looking at quilts seeing how I can add just a touch of embroidery.

I used Hatched in Africa designs to match the Asian fabric that I had.

the quilt pictured with my name is all embroidered. I did it for my youngest daughter, one of twins. The pattern is called Butterfly Corners. My pictogram quilt has a lot of work that looks like embroidery but you make the flowers, etc, by combing the pictogram stitches on your machine.
