I was asked to show a bigger picture of my Avatar, I just figured out how to do that.
This is one of the first paperpieced projects I did. (I had seen one a friend of mine was doing similar (hers was aqua's and rust) and fell in love with it.) I changed the colors from hers a touch and she taught me how to paperpiece the begining of 2008. Yes, she told me many times that normally a person doesn't start with a project like this but I just had to make it.
I absolutely love paperpiecing! am working on a Nevada Star quilt now but since have gotten my LA it has been slow going.
It is a Karen Stone Pattern and is called USL2. I also have another friend that liked mine and made one and hers she did in browns and greens, very pretty too.

My mother and I both did, but she did do most of it.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments.
I will measure it, I can't remember the size.
Yes, I really like Karen Stones patterns.
I am getting up my nerve to try some of Judy Neimyers(Sp). I just seen her Wedding Star Quilt done up in Batiks at our Quilt Show here and it's just stunning. But the pattern itself is $50.00.............So I won't be doing that one anytime soon but have a couple of her others that are gorgeous too.
