I finally finished my first OBW, the picture doesn't do it justice. I started to follow along when Cutebuns was doing this and it took a long while but overall, I am quite happy with this one(despite the arrangment). My goal was to be a little more picky (I went from too picky to getting sloppy)& I did do that. Thanks for looking.

Great looking quilt. I know this will be a really dumb question when I find out the answer. But what is an OBW?

Not a dumb question, its called a One Block Wonder. You just buy one fabric (good for me cuz I have a terrible time picking fabric(s) for a quilt) and with some special cutting and hexagons, you end up with a quilt looking pretty muc completely different than your original fabric.

jackkip - it is a one block wonder

I think the arrangement on these quilts is harder than the piecing but I very much like your arrangement. Looks like you did great!

Is it similar to the stack and whack stars?

Thanks, I got the fabric from our local Fabricland. I only have a couple of little strips left, I think, will check and see if I can get a picture. OBW is actually is a lot easier than it looks, there is a book out that explains it really well (I haven't been quilting that long) and also a tutorial on this board from Cutebuns, a lot of people made some beautiful ones a few month ago
