I admire your appliqued portrait and have been working on my Dad's for a number of years. Started with a class by Charlotte Warr Anderson and hand dyed all the grades of grey to black fabric. It has been out on the design table for the past year and I think you helped me put it on the top of the list to finish this month. He has been in my thoughts this more so this week because he passed on MLK day ten years ago so I need to get this done. Good luck with your future work. Moosegirl

I am truly amazed at how fabric can end up looking like a portrait. Yours captures your dad's likeness to a "T".
I imagine you felt "connected" to your dad while you were working on it. It's a wonderful piece of art.

Question - how long does it take to make one of these portraits, on average? and after taking the class once, do you think you would be able to do it on your own? (this whole process intrigues me - I checked out yr teacher's website btw)
