    My Practice Quilt

This is my first FMQ. I have tried meandering on some wall hangings but this is my first try at quilting designs on Name: Practice 001 (640x480).jpg

Size: 58.5 KBa quilt. It has so many mistakes but I am just happy I got the nerve to try. Probably should have done a lot of practice on some quilt sandwiches but I wanted to see if I could manage a quilt. Although it is small I just used it for practice before I try a larger one. Boy do I need a lot of practice. Hope the quilt police are not around.

I think you did a wonderful job! I just tried my first pattern quilting and I can tell you it didn't come out as well. By the way the quilt is also a beautiful pattern. Love it.

First of, that is a beautiful top, secondly I would let you quilt mine. If this your first great job and only you will see mistakes. I believe it's a work of art. There is never any quilt police here.

I agree--it looks great and a very cute pattern. We all see our mistakes more than others do--it much be a lawy of nature or something

Thank you ladies. It certainly full of mistakes but I loved the process. So much encouragement from this board. I would never have tried but for you all.

Wow, that's IMPRESSIVE! Your feathers look like feathers, your pebbling looks like pebbling, and you've included a lot more really nice details as well! (My first "keeper" piece was only about 6 x 9 inches and I made a little wallet out of it.) Great job!!!

Such a cute quilt! Nobody will notice the "mistakes" except you, and you have to go easy on your own critiques. lol I think it turned out great!

Looks great from here. Try imagining riding by on a horse and see if you can see the same mistakes you say you see while standing right over your work. I bet they don't show up! Keep up the great work. At least you got a start, that is most of the battle.

I think you should pat yourself on the back! It is hard for me to force myself to try new things. It looks absolutly great for your first try!

What a darling quilt. You were in there trying feathers too. Good for you. With every quilt you do you will gain more and more confidence.
