My Purple Lover's Knot got a 3rd place ribbon in our Quilt Show
My purple Lover's Knot quilt got a third place ribbon in our Quilt Show. In case you followed my struggles with the quilt, I thought you might want to know how it did. I love this quilt, and I didn't intend to enter it in the show, but I got talked into it.
My struggles weren't with the pattern. The instructions were clear. My struggles were that I just couldn't get it right in my mind how the blocks should go together. My son and lots of you quilters helped me out. Thanks.
My Lover's Knot is in the middle. The quilts on either side are mine too. I quilt on my domestic machine, and most of the quilts in this category came from me. I actually SID, which I know isn't supposed to win in quilt shows. Still, I like to SID.

Your quilts are wonderful. Sometimes SID is just fine. I would say try breaking out of SID by doing small quilts and use quilting stencils to mark the quilts. I teach a feed dogs up machine quilting class. I use stencils and we make a small whole cloth quilt to show how to quilt other than in the ditch. Just a thought. Luann
