Thanks everyone. Reading your comments makes me want to skip work and go make another one, and we have our first snow storm here, so it is really tempting. What can they do..Fire me? Oh yeah! They already did.

The quilt is 21 x 21 inches and the color is a very deep burgundy but I had to manipulate the color in the picture a little so that the stitching would show.

Getta is a member of the board. She is from Rumania and she has an e-book on Shadow Trapunto. He work is just plain amazing. I don't have a direct link to her blog, but I will beg someone who has it to please post it for you

To answer to everyone that asked me by PM, It was not hard to do at all. I just printed her design on paper. It printed on 6 pages including an area where they overlapped. I glued the overlaps to have a large design on just one large sheet of paper. I then pinned it to my 3 layers. You could just pin it to the top, but if you pin to the 3 layers there is no shifting of the layers. I then went ahead and drew the design free motion following her design, using very tiny stitches. This makes easy for the paper to peel off. The way I accomplish tiny stitches in free motion is by running my machine fast, but moving the fabric slow. Using the BSR may help but I am not that good at using it yet.

After I peeled the paper, I then free motion stitched stipples on the whole background. I used wool batting because it flattens very nicely in the stippled areas, but puffs right up in the design areas. The fabric used is very important too. I look for solid colors but shinny fabrics, which means, no 100% cotton quilting fabric. With a fabric without shine the final work is pretty but dull. I use a thread that matches the fabric almost 100% and if I can find one that is exactly the same, even better. I use 50 or 60 wt on the top and The bottom line in the bobbin. It is great because I can do a project like this with just one bobbin and never stop to fill anything.

Thanks for stopping to look and for your interest. This design will be posted on the classifieds area as well.
