So pretty and I love that it's made from "leftovers". I have just spent nearly three weeks pressing, cutting and organizing scraps left over from more than 30 years of sewing clothes for me and my two girls. It's sort of sobering to think that I wore some of those fabrics that are now "vintage"!! But your quilt is inspiring. I hope I can turn my leftovers into some beautiful quilts too.
"Piecin' a quilt's like livin' a life...The Lord sends us the pieces, but we can cut 'em out and put 'em together pretty much to suit ourselves, and there's a heap more in the cuttin' and the sewin' than there is in the caliker...I've had a heap of comfort all my life making quilts, and now in my old age I wouldn't take a fortune for them." Oh! Wow! It is gorgeous..! I sewed for my girl when she was little & I could kick myself for not saving some of them. I do have a very few of the fabs tho...
