I am going to Fort Wayne IN, where my daughter lives. And then to Logansport where my parents, son and siblings live. My nephew's graduation party is that weekend also. He is graduating from Twin Lakes High School in Monticello.

All of my machines are Janomes. I LOVE THEM ALL. Well I guess my serger is a Pfaff--which I do not like at all. I have a new Janome one on my wish list. Yes I download designs from the internet all the time to a compact flash card and then put the card into that thingie that fits into my machine. Real technical huh? Every time I go to the place I bought my machines from, they show me the pulled pattern CDs that are always on clearance and I usually buy at least one sometimes more.

Yes a LOT Of thought went into this room. I told my husband how I wanted it to look and he did it. Such a sweet man!! I will admit we had a "battle of wills" over certain things. He doesn't know a thing about sewing so he didn't understand some things I wanted. But when it was all done, he looked at the way I set it up and said "AHA, now I see!

And yes. any and all are welcome to come play!! I would so enjoy that! I love to entertain and I especially love to cook for guests. I have one spare bedroom and an air mattress. First come..........

Cresha:
Thanks for the info on the Janome. Much easier to download to a flash card. My sister has a Phaff embroidery machine and she has the worst time with the software. It downloads to a card that looks like a credit card but once it is full she has to buy another and they are really expensive. Forget the extra software to make CD's that is over 300 dollars. I am looking towards Christmas this year and will start looking.
So glad to hear we are welcome to come visit. I am coming up to US in July will stop by because I sleep on an air bed when I visit my son in NY so I am use to it. LOL, just kidding about the visit but the room does look so inviting.

WOW

this is the first quilt studio i've seen with so few things. you're mastered the "zen" of quilting and narrowed it down to the bare essentials.

It isn't that I don't have "stuff". I am just a neat freak and i have it all on neatly folded and stored in bins and on book shelves in the back part of the basement and in the closets up stairs. I like having only what I am working on at the time taking up space. I have a TV and a stereo down here. My ironing board is in another corner. There is even a wood burning stove on the back wall for in the winter. I have a recliner and another chair with an ottoman here for my mom and my sisters or my grandkids to visit with while I am sewing/quiltilng. I guess I don't know what else I would need. Oh and i almost forgot the dress form in the corner. All of my rulers and rotary cutters are in the drawers on the drafting table. And there is even room for the dog to come lie down on the floor and not be in my way. LOL
