My Ramblin Rose Meets Jamestown
#119
Thank you so much for the reply on the Ramblin Rose quilt. I will try to find that pattern but if not willl use your directions. Thanks again and know that that is the ultimate of any quilt I have ever seen and you SHOULD enter it into a juried show and I'm sure you would win first place.
Hope you are able to find the pattern. I made a typeo mistake on the directions. You will need 23 log cabin blocks (not 13 log cabin blocks as I stated in the directions) and 12 sampler blocks to lay out the way the pattern calls for, but if you use the layout that I used, you will need 24 log cabin blocks, and 12 sampler blocks. All are 12 1/2" blocks.
Marti does show a picture of the original quilt on her web site. Had to search for it, but it is there.
Good luck

how beautiful !! I did this as a BOM a few years back. At the time, I wasn't able to buy the finishing kit up front so by the time I saved the money (around $100), I couldn't get it. So, here it sits in my UFOs until I can find something to go along with it without looking stupid.
Enjoy that beautiful quilt !!!
Enjoy that beautiful quilt !!!
I think Marti Michell still has a few of the fabrics on her web site. Not sure which ones you need, but you might be able to fine it there.
Good luck, and I am enjoying the quilt.
