Beautiful work. I really like the McKenna Ryan patterns, but they look so difficult.

The pattern name is Spooling Around by Elisa's Backporch design. The curves are easy, here is a tute on curves.

The placemat pattern was called Tango Wave by Susan Rooney. The pattern shows a 4 sided reversible placemat. I didn't have enough fabric, so I just made a simple 2 sided placemat. But the pattern does provide a paper template for the placemat.

I don't think Ryan's patterns are as hard as they look. I have been quilting for just a year now. The Ka-Bloom pattern took a lot a time and patience to cut over 370 individual pieces from 40 different batik fabrics. It will be a long time before I do another one that big. But Ryan has many smaller projects like Glacier Falls.

Thank you for all of your kind comments. It really picked me up today.

Elise, I love the beauty of the two art quilts and the uniqueness of the placemat's design and pattern. You should be very proud of your accomplishments! Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

Beautiful projects. I most especially like your garden cottage, I can almost smell the flowers.
