Very nice work. Are these machine embroidery applique patterns or did you just stitch on machine like that? Wish I knew where you got that chicken wire fabric. Some of the ladies in our rooster/hen block swap posted one of her blocks with this & I love it. You could even hang on the wall.

thanks for looking at my quilt. i don't have an embrodery machine Yet! anyway in the first close up pic, with the orange colored chest, i used a stitch from my machine to give it some texture. i'm always looking for a way to use all those stitches i have and don't know what to do with. i bought the chick wire fabric from a big quilt show. i have seen it since but only in cream and black.

yes quilting for 6 months when i did this quilt. however i have sewn since about 6th grade. then life happened and i sewed for four children. when they all left home i took about a 18 year break from sewing. never got rid of my machine because i knew i wanted to make just one quilt. so a few yrs. ago i went in to a quilt shop and told them my story. they were all to helpful as you can imagine. since then i have been hooked. in the last three yrs. i have made many many quilts.don't think i will ever stop quilting. i love it.

Wow it is even more beautiful close up. I love what you did. I don't have an embroidery machine yet either. I too use many of the stitches I have on the machine in my quilting.
You did an awesome job. I know I said something to this affect eariler but the closeups needed further comment. Love it!!!

Debra...you can check with bearpaw periodically...they usually have it but don't today (I checked for you)...but I did find it here. There are a couple listed on ebay as well. http://www.stitch-n-frame.net/cgi-bi...cking5=froogle
