That is absolutely beautiful. The reds are great, I find it hard to find reds that work well together. I love feather quilting and yours is supurb. Thanks for posing pics.
    Happy Quilting.

I actually saw a picture somewhat like this in a quilting book and thought I would mimic that quilt but that one had blacks and I chose to do with darker tans and even browns instead.

This block is called a "Blossoming Tree". You use the tiny four patches as the blossoms and another coordinating fabric for the leafy brances. I really liked this block and was thinking of doing a whole quilt like this.

Here's a closer pic of the four patches and leafy branches blocks.

I've seen a lot of sampler quilts over the years and your's is one of the nicest. Love your choice of colors and that it is not a lot of different colors mixed together. It's just stunning. And the scalloped edges really add to it. Great job!

You have so many blocks in there and you did a scallop border too! Then you quilted all those feathers, very nice all around!

It's a beautiful sampler, the controlled red and tan color palette is so effective with all the different blocks. I really like the smaller and skinnier blocks mixed in with the square ones, makes for a much more interesting quilt. Great quilting too, I love feathers!
