Love your quilt, the black sashing really sets off the bright colours, I agree it has a very contemporary look to it.

I have limited space to sew in too, my space is also my studio space where I paint and draw. In Winter we light the log burner in there and my DH brings in his DVD player and radio and the dogs and cat and we dig in when the weather is bad outside. It is nice and cozy and I like to sew there, we now have our PC in there too. What else does one need!!!

This past winter I redid my middle sons bedroom as my sewing room! I enjoyed painting every inch of it and new blinds, curtains & bedding! It was always neat as a pin and smelled like my favorite Yankee Candle! Now he's home for the summer and I am dying for him to go back to school! LOL! The quilt is great - love the black borders!

I LOVE that quilt!! It's very pretty! Do you happen to have the pattern for it? I want to make one!
How exciting that you get your own room for quilting, I'm a bit jealous! lol

Isn't it fun being able to take over a room and having your own sewing/quilting space?
