My husband is remodeling my sewing room for my Christmas gift. :D
I have also been cleaning it. Just for fun, I am also posting the pictures I took while sewing for our community theater production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. My sewing room isn't always that messy, but it's usually pretty close.

My DH will be putting up a cabinet above this bookshelf, to hold the irons, water bottle and spray bottle.

Those pieces of wood in the corner will make an L shaped table reaching from the table to the corner and then on the adjacent wall from the corner to the window. My sewing machine will go on the part next to the table, because I need the table to support the weight of the quilts while I am quilting them. I can put my computer in the corner, and then the serger will go on the wall near the window. Those white drawer things contain thread. They will slide under the new sewing table.

My cutting table is about the height of a kitchen countertop. I can baste quilts on it, too! I can store all my cutting mats and rulers in there.

There is a hook on which I can hang my ironing board when not in use, and my loom gets moved around as I need it.

My sewing room is clean enough for a baby to play in!!!
And isn't that a nice window seat? I haven't made cushions yet. Those are my friend Angela's old curtains.

Cathe...can I come play in your room?? I promise I'll help you clean up...maybe help you get rid of some "cool" stuff...ehhhmmm, excuse me, I meant old and not needed old junk.

I'd give anything to have the room you do..your DH is really going to be a hero when he fixes all those new tables and shelves for you. What a nice guy! I envy you all your storage and I love your window seat!

Well, I think I have it easier than some because I have an enormous attic for storing my stash. It's up there in 40 or 50 Rubbermaid totes. The pieces stacked on my pattern drawers are just some that I want to get made up into little girls' outfits before it's illegal to sell them.

What do you mean "illegal to sell them"?! Is there something under way for that?!

Are you sure you didn't sneak some pictures from my room in there? Mine looks like that most of the time lol
It's going to be awesome when it's done!

What she is referring to as "illegal" is the new law concerning children's items

This is about the new law regarding creating and selling children's products: http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/list/15070.page

The Glory sign is wall art - a collage sort of painting done by my daughter-in-law. She actually made it for my bedroom, but I like it in my sewing room, too!
