My sister's wedding quilt
#1
I didn't have time to post these before we left, so now that we're back from a week in England for my sister's wedding, I can post the pictures of the throw-sized quilt that I made for my sister and her new husband as a wedding gift.
It's a D9P in a selection of fabrics from Moda's "Bistro" range. I'm very pleased with myself for guessing right about the colours - I hadn't seen their house before, so I went with what I knew about my sister's tastes and I got it exactly right! My sister and her husband were very, very pleased with it :)
The first two pictures are the front (being held up by my husband) and the back (hung on the line). It's my first pieced back, and it came out a little crooked in the end, but no one seemed to notice (or if they did, they didn't say anything!)

Beautiful quilt, and (assuming that is her couch) you DID do a great job coordinating with her tastes. The label is lovely, and how great to include care instructions! I know they will love cuddling under it for many years to come. Bet it was the most loved gift at the wedding!
