Anntwocats, I am so sorry for your loss. Every cat I lose is such a heartbreak but having them in my life brings such joy.

Thanks everyone- Its my first complicated (for me anyway!) quilt and also my first gift to someone apart from my son who hasn't seen his yet. I made this on my new janome Horizon and it was such a difference from my old light machine. I ahd hoped that the colours would be OK, but ahd a bit of a wobble when i finished it..so thanks everyone I feel a lot better now and will be posting it to her on Monday.
I mean I can see a few things I did wrong like not exactly matching up the seams on a few squares and also the FMQ wobbles a bit (first time tracing) but on the whole I was really pleased to see how much I have improved from my first one. This site is amazing, I have picked up so many tips and ideas, especially when you go wrong or you dont know how to do a thing. Best of all is the encouragement from everybody..it really means a lot,so thanks again x Lois

Garish is the last thing that would come to mind. I really love the colors you chose.

Gorgeous - not garish! You did a great job and I'm sure your friend will be thrilled with it.
