Very true! But I am SO thankful that we can at least get to this beauty in just an hour or so.. Same with the ocean.. in just an afternoon we can be enjoying the ocean! I LOVE Washington! I dont think there is another state I would rather live in. :)

With views like this, I'd find it hard to stay indoors quilting. And I love the wildflowers this late in the year! Is that Rainier in the background? You might have just inspired a hike on our way to visit our dtr. in Olympia.

If you can do it, I highly suggest it! I was an easy hike and so worth the views! Just remember Bug spray. I believe it is called Naches Peak Loop Trail, right at the top of Chinook Pass, near entrance to the trail is right near the wooden foot bridge over the road.
