A few years ago my sister found an afghan at the Goodwiil that someone gave away. It was tagged to a boy from grandma. She went home & cried, to think that the love that went in it, to just be thrown away. I have everything my grandmother ever gave me & cherish them.

I haven't read the entire thread, so someone else may have already suggested this. You could use prepared fabric sheets (JoAnn's has them) and SCAN & PRINT the fabric that needs repairing with your printer. Sue Hausman talked about this at a class she gave in Tucson recently, and I thought it was a neat idea for repairing quilts - or for finishing quilts when you run out of fabric and just need a LITTLE bit more.

Man was that luck....someones loss is your gain....how wonderful that it is a signed quilt as welll......See ladies we should sign our quilts.....or at least date them....as Martha Stewart would say ..."That is a Good thing".....:-)
