    Default my triangles quilt

my quilt was inspired by feline fanatic who was inspired by BeckySt (?) it will go to a special niece who just graduated, she has done homeschool since 2nd grade and is a wonderful and smart girl
when talking to feline about her quilt she said she thought curved cross hatching would look awesome in the white triangles but she just didn't have the time to do it on hers . Since I fully trust her I decided that's what I would do, you really have to commit a lot of time for that I now know! But she was right, I do love the look of it, I also took a cue from her and used 2 batts, 80/20 under poly down, it really defines the stitching (not always a good thing) I used Glide thread in Khaki and it shimmers and looks metallic. I had mistakenly used the backing that I had for this and didn't want to wait so I went with a solid (muslin) that was scary because it's so showy on the back but I examined it carefully and I am not ashamed! thankfully I can quilt better than I can take photographs!

Oh Kathy, it is fabulous! I bet your niece will squeal with delight when she unfurls this beauty. I love, love, love the CCH in the triangles and also that wonderful wave motif quilted inside a frame like that. You sized it perfectly. I bet the back looks like a wholecloth! Would love to see a picture of the whole back.
