So happy for you! I love my 1080, call it my work horse. Have had fewer problems with my Bernina 1080 than any other machine I have ever owned, but wish I had one with the stitch regulator. That would be my dream machine.

What a great find! That's the exact same machine I learnt to sew on (my mom's), and I never wanted another one! I have yet to come across another machine that does such regular stitching and has so few tension problems! (or maybe it's me? Every time I sew on some other machine someone lends me, I encounter tons of problems!)

I remember how at about age 20, I tried to persuade my mom to buy a new machine ("they come with bells and whistles! You will love it!") My mom just laughed because she knew my motive (mom buys new machine = daughter gets her old one) and didn't want the bells and whistles either! One day, this machine will be mine - and it already is to some degree as I had it on "long-term loan" for the whole past year until I moved my stuff to my parents' last week. Enjoy it!

Wow! I haven't seen one for less than $800 and that one only had a couple feet.

Congrats! Love a great find. How I felt about my 401 for the same price.

Great deal!! I have my Mother's and I love it! They are tough babies! My Mother would have worn out a lesser machine!
