Hawaiian Needleturn pillow
#1
This is a gift for my friend who invited me to go to Hawaii with her last April. Entire applique' is needle turned, and yes, hand quilted. This was a wonderful experience for me, both the trip and the quilting.
I think I am hooked on needleturn like this!

You did a LOVELY job!
I have the Poakalani book, maybe two. It took me HOURS to do a little bit. so, I may need to do something like freezer paper the back and glue so I'm not 99 by the time I get one done!

I must confess that it took me almost a year to do this. I kept this as my in between time quilting, a little at lunch time, a little time in between teaching classes during the day, and a little each night that I had some quiet time. I picked up a HA needleturn book with so many patterns to do, as well as just some paper templates. Oh - so many patterns, so little time.....
