In spite of the bad day, I managed to get two more blocks done last night. The block on the left is called URR and the one on the right is call Jacob's Ladder. I think they should be reversed? The blue check with the white flying geese, is not showing up too well as it was at night when I took the pic. These two block were real easy, like beginner.

Well, I like them both. As usual, great job! How's the leg? Better I hope.

The legs feel ok, thank you. I do believe I remember the shelf that the keyboard sits on fell down and it may have hit my leg and in the excitement and lots of language, I must have not felt it lol.

I just finished another block and fixing to do another with the Lincoln pic in the center, will post in about an hour...

Two more blocks. Trip around the world and Box quilt. I put my pic of Lincoln in the box and went ahead and signed it and dated it.

I have four rows done. One row and four blocks left and then the sashing and corner stones.

What a nice balance of light and dark values, too!

I have switched the blocks around, have done the sashings and corner stones today. I am now getting the backing ready for both the URR and the Colorful and will quilt them both tomorrow.

Ok all done, thank God. This really turned out to be a big quilt. 85x103. It was a bit big for my design board.

I did the backing all with joined pieces of plaid and also the binding is one inch wide and two different plaids. I like my binding to be fat so I left an inch of batting in there.

I just used a piece of poly batting that I had on hand as I wanted to the quilt to be soft and cozy.

I see I have it hanging the wrong way lol. Below is the right way from the top down but only some of the quilt.

Back of quilt with all plaid pieces.

This is the correct way.
