    This was a free pattern from Windham Fabrics. Look under projects and go to page 19. I just kept making extra squares until it was the size I wanted.

    I did the same thing. Tried and tried different versions and finally settled on the applique. It was by far the easiest and looks just as nice. I did piece the rings on my quilt. It was Eleanor Burns pattern and another combined.
