This is a picture of my first quilt-it is a Friendship Star pattern and there are lots and lots of mistakes but I am proud of getting it completed. I learned a lot from making it and will make sure I line up the blocks better next time. I went for easy with the quilting-my next goal is to tackle FMQ but I am a little nervous about it.

My son Jacob and cat Karma in background-it is his quilt

Thanks for sharing with us. Jacob made sure his head was in the pic. You did a great job for first time. How else can we learn, except by our mistakes? The most important lesson was that you finished your first quilt. Lots of folks throw them in the corner & never finish. Your Son doesn't know the difference & the Cat thinks it's awesome. Don't you speak Cat-ese? TTUL.

    Quilting is a learning experience.

Nicely done and your son looks soooo HAPPY to have HIS own quilt! I'm sure he'll treasure it for a long long time.

    What's next?

WOW! Looks good from the photos, you did a good job with the color selection, I think that's harder than the sewing.

The little one is a cutie,
