Love your 1st blocks...where are the next ones?? My cats would love to have your quilt. I had been looking at that cat fabric on line and hadn't bought any yet...now I will have too. You have a great idea!
This hobby has become an obsession for me...don't know why..its fun though, isn't it?

The final quilt  If i ever get that far will have a total of 15 blocks and then 2 borders in cream and black and the binding will be the kitty kat or the paw print if I can find more of it. The solid blocks will be cream and black. I am nervous about putting It all together but, will figure it out. I spent another chunk of change  tonight at JoAnn's in buffalo on the rest of the fabric for it and now just need to buy the batting. Help What kind of batting is best. I don't have a clue what to do once the top is done. How do I sew on borders. I am in new water. Give me a Daisy Kingdom dress or a bridal gown for that fact I will whip it right up for ya but, quilting. Eeek. New to me

I really can't tell you what to do about your batting..for me it depends on how I want the quilt to look when finished (100% cotton gives me more of an old fashioned wrinkled look vs. the poly which doesn't shrink for me), how thick you want the quilt,..which might depend on whether you plan to machine or hand quilt. Well...really, I guess you can just go with anything you want..I'm a newbie but have found that I prefer 100% cotton as I like the shrinking and it tends to stay in place when I'm quilting it instead of slipping.
Borders. sew the sides on first, then the top and bottom..You will figure it out..the simple fact that you can sew puts you a trillion miles ahead of me!
Keep showing us how its going!
