Great find for you but sad that something made for the seller didn't mean anything.

I agree. It's a shame she didn't appreciate it for all the work and love that went into it. I would also have used it for a picnic blanket or under the bedspread or other quilt for warmth. But glad it found a good home.

That reason has never made sense to me...are they going to keep their present color scheme for the rest of their lives? KEEP the quilt, those colors may be just what you want in the future.

The intended recipient may not have liked it but at least it has a good home now!

Reminds me when I first started quilting. A lady at the campground had worked for months on a baby guilt for the 1st great grandchild. When baby was born, she sent it off. About 3 months later she made the trip to visit the baby. Laying on the floor on the baby quilt was the family dog. She about had a heart attack. The mother said she had received so many blankets, she thought the dog would like this one. Another lady made her daughter a beautiful quilt, worked months on it and it cost a fortune. Her daughter needed to give a gift at a wedding so she took this beautiful quilt her mother had made for her and gave it away. That's how you find quilts at yard sales or at Goodwill. Which I have bought many times.
