Default My Yo-Yo Quilt

Someone ask what a yo-yo-quilt was in this thread

so posting an example.
This is hanging a our local quilt show some years ago. It took several years and over 2,500 yo-yos to finish. I just fits with the scalloped hanging over the edge of my queen size bed...the reason for having the white quilt under it.
Don't use it very often, only on special occasions.

Now there's a lot of work!

Nice to see the full view of the quilt.
Although, for those that don;t know what a yo-yo quilt is, it really does not show them a yo-yo.
Perhaps you could show a close up of a corner of the quilt, to show the detail? ... and all the work you did.

Just a suggestion ......

That reminds me...I have one that I picked up at a flea market several yrs ago. Probably close to your size, but mine is all white, so the last time I put it on a bed I used a deep blue flat sheet under it......when I bought it at a very reasonable price there were a few yo- yos that needed repair.....that was easy to do

Beautiful quilt. I have always admired yo-yo quilts and yours is lovely. Thinking I would love an all white one as well!

It's very beautiful. I love them so much, my grandma made me one about 60 yrs ago. she gave it to e when I was about 16,I love it. I too made one yrs ago, lost it in a lot of moves.
I think yours is stunning and I love the scalloped border.

Thanks for the photo. A beautiful quilt!! Is it like hexies that are just joined on 4 sides with spaces elsewhere so it is "see through"? I have never seen one before.
