Sandra, The quilt is gorgeous! Did you also hand applique all those flowers as well as hand quilt it? This a a treasure for your daughter.

Yes...I did it by hand, flowers and all. The petals were put on in a circle individually so they overlapped. they are also stuffed. The circle in the center was appliqued on top of the petals. In the beginning they looked like the top half of a heart, I thought. One block at a time and pretty soon they were all ready to be put together. I did use the machine to put the blocks together, then went back to hand quilting. It was a warm winter for me. She is happy with it.

That is beautiful! After all that hard work, I'd be hesitant to give it to someone, or frankly, even use it!

I hope your daughter realizes how blessed she is to have you for her mother!

Thank you all. Most of my quilts have been given away. I have a couple of table runners and am trying to get a quilt ot two for myself. Just seems like sometimes there is someone it is just right for.

I like it! I especially like the border. I have seen lots of quilts that the border looks like a way to only make the quilt bigger, but yours is very beautiful. It looks as it should an important part of the quilt! Thanks for sharing it. It is very lovely.

Thank you. I used a bias technique for the first time on it as I hoped it would look good. And I like needlework I find it relaxing.
