Mystery quilt experiment update
Well this has taken longer than I planned but such is life. I finally got 1 of the 2nd block finished have 9 more they are all started just in different stages of completion. From looking at the remainder if my fabric I pretty sure I'll only be making 12 blocks and the rest is for setting them together and borders.
Truthfully I'm not in love with it still like the colors but it's just to busy. I love the first block (on the right) but If I were to do it over I would choose smaller prints. A hazard of picking fabrics for a mystery quilt I'm sure. Who knows may love it when it's done I still have at least one more set of clues to read to

I've never done a mystery quilt. I love your colors and sure the final quilt will all pull together. Keep up the good work!

Thank you guys, I have enjoyed the process and it is stretching my ability I'm learning how to follow directions without pictures for reference. All and all not too bad for a first one and not having anybody to ask for small hints or guidance since its trough a novel. The next mystery quilt I do I'll be more cautious of large prints just to be safe.

I agree with you Billi, I have difficulty when pictures are not available .... one reason I don't do mystery quilts or blocks yet. Your blocks are beautiful and well done. I am wondering how you will fit them all together in a quilt .... looking forward to seeing your progress.
