How big is the completed block? I really like it.
How about "Pinwheel Patch", or "Pinwheel Makeover", or "Splitting Pinwheel Patch"

First thing that came to my mind was Shadow Block. Whatever you decide it is going to be really nice!

Interesting...some of us see diamonds as the focus...some see pinwheels...So depending on what you the creator sees, Hidden Diamond
Hidden Pinwheel
but if that's too obscure (most of my ideas are). I really like Amma's suggestion.

I like disappearing pinwheel but the "illusion" name sounded great also. It sure is different.

It reminds me of a checkerboard cut gem stone. Nice block by the way.

Wow.. very pretty.. I don't know of a name but it is beautiful.. well maybe Disappearing Pinwheel I like that one too...
