    That Near Disaster to This

About a week ago I shared my big goof of stitching the folded backing to the quilt batting and top. Finally got all of that out, the new in, the binding on and I'm pretty happy with it. I do thank all of you who shared suggestions and gave encouragement to me. Whew!

I bet it feels good to get it done. You did a beautiful job on it. Thanks for showing several pictures. I like seeing them from more than one position.

Well, It turned out well after all that. I like the effect of the border quilting. The wide border fabric is awesome and gives the piece a very nice aged quality that looks like an heirloom. Wonderful.

I'm so glad you posted a follow-up. No way to tell where you did the un-sewing and it turned out lovely.
A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

That really is a beautiful quilt! I just love the pattern, colors, fabrics, etc. The wide border fabric and the background fabric really set the "stars" off nicely. Did I mention that I love this quilt?
