Plain white. Beautiful blocks, please show us when completed.

I like the pinwheels. Such a nice pale yellow - a little bit of movement - but nothing to detract from the blocks. I like pulling in colors to accentuate the whole piece. I'm sure whatever choice you make will be the right one.

The embroidered blocks are beautiful. I'd make the cornerstones a plain block and let the emroidered blocks be the star.

I like the plain blocks yellow or one or more of the embroidery colors.

I vote for the plain white squares. The embroidered squares are beautiful in themselves & don't need anything else (IMHO). :-)

I agree that the blocks should be the focus, but I think the white is dead there. I would go with the yellow from the border. If you want it more jazzy, add a single lavender embroidered flower in each one.

I think because of the "delicate" look of the embroidered blocks, I'd do the white and keep it plain and simple, as not to take away from the main blocks. Very feminine looking. I really like it.

Neither. Use the green, and it will high light the blocks. The colored cornerstones distract from the unity of the blocks.
