When in doubt, as as you can see from the suggestions given, always frame your quilt - pictures (art work) is always framed, and our pictures sewn in fabric are artwork that need to be framed. Good rule of thumb. Go for al dark half square trianges. will be drop dead beautiful.

I think an inner border the width of your small blocks and the dark outer border would look great! Your quilt is beautiful. Working without a pattern allows you to expand your skill base a lot faster. We learn by doing and you are doing :thumbup: :thumbup: :D

I agree with MTS! The lights in the center will sparkle with a dark border.
Before adding a border(s), take photos of all the possibilities and compare them side by side.
