I think I would like to see some sort of cute jungle print for a border...Maybe a first border from you sashing fabric then a wider jungle print. There are so many cute jungle prints out there.
Love the tigers...they are so adorable. He will love that quilt as he grows older!

how about adding another row and in each of the blocks put a tiger in the first block , the second put his name birthdate ect the third block put another tiger maybe you can put a caption in block one saying the tigers welcome so and so ... second block his name third block to the year of the dragon and you could sign it

Love this quilt, it is just too cute. So original!
I like the grass on the bottom idea. I would use the same background as you used in the squares and applique the same style of grass. This way you use the same colors you already have in the quilt, you can make the size as large as the squares if you wanted to, although I would make them smaller so as not to detract from the tiger squares.
Whatever you choose to do I am sure it will be beautiful.

thank you.
You can see what I did on page 5. I am going to bind it with a tiger stripe binding. Then on the back I am going to do something funny. Both my son and DIL are hugh Bears football fans so I am putting blue and orange and Bears logos on the back. But the label will be the Dallas Cowboys logo. That is Papa's team. I think they will get a kick out of it. :D
