Same here, I like this idea!

I love your quilt you did a great job with your fabrics. I agree with dark borders maybe in a purple about 6" . Then a black about 3-3.5" . What ever you choose it's beautiful love the purples.

Thanks, I'm glad I saw yours a few months ago and decided to try it.

i would say it depends on which color you want to bring forward in the quilt. If you use that color, it will just make it sing for you

How about a soft green mottle in the same tone as the green blocks in the quilt, then a black outer border? I love this quilt. I would be afraid that piano keys would detract from the top.

wow, that's a pretty top! you could add just a thin border[less than 2.5"] of one or more colors in the top, & then add more black to make the outside of that [to cover the rails]

I love the idea of the softer green in a leafy or faux leafy tone on tone print or batik in two seperate 2 1/2 or 3" bands seperated by a 4-5" band of a tone on tone purple or whichever color you wish to emphasize in the quilt florals. A black binding to finish it off would make it perfect I think!!! It is a lovely lovely quilt already!!! Well done, Hugs and smilessssssss!!
PS: Because the squares are large, I fear the narrower borders would look out of proportion and skimpy. L
