I keep walking by the quilt and really both look good to me, but I don't think I want to go as wild and wacky as the right one appears. Also, it looks like I'm mitering, I think the left would be easier to match up or easier on the eyes if it doesn't match

That is just so amazingly cute. Although the right border is really fun, and mimics how wacky cats can be, I believe the one on the left is a better choice for the overall look.
