This is a quilt that I am making for my daughter. The lady bug blocks that I created myself did not end up the size I thought they would be. I used quilters grid and I do not think I will do that again. I think I would piece them together with out the girid if I had to do it again. Anyways I had to add extra borders because of the blocks being shorter.

Ok long story short after I do the braided border on the ends should I add another border and if so what color or should I just end it with that?!?! I will be using the red for the binding.

    My opinion?
I'd put a border about an inch wider than the braid using that polka dot fabric. Then use the red binding.
    I think it's really cute!

I do have to agree. It would give the quilt a beautiful finished look. I do love your quilt. Those ladybugs are so cute. Great job. Thanks for sharing.

Are you talking about the fabric that almost looks white with the red dots? It did not turn out well in color it is actually green with lady bugs on it. Guess I need to take better pics:)

I also did not mean for it to turn out as such a dark quilt but the black patterned fabric had lady bugs in it so I had to have it.

Then I decided to do the braided edge and wanted to do it with 3 colors so now it is a little dark.

I think I would use a narrow border of the darker (black) with the bugs then the red binding. I think it would give it a nice symmetry.

A border with the lady bug material would lighten it up
