Love the quilt but more the idea of a gift of love. Really try to find something in the brown color family. I think you will be more satisfied.

I think I like #2, no wait... #3, boy it's a HARD decision, they're all great! Whichever one you choose, I think it definitely needs the black or a deep brown, it stops the eye at the edge. If it were mine, I might place a very narrow strip of deep burgundy or some such in the inner border, just to see what would happen...

They are all cool! But, my motto is "keep it simple" and "GIT 'ER done!" Move on to next project.. It will be beautiful whatever you decide... He will love and cherish the finished product...
