This is a quilt I made for an old friend of my mom's (I actually did my student teaching with her way back in the '70's.) This woman is crazier about cats than anyone I've ever met in my life, so I wanted to make her a cat quilt for Christmas. Once I got the top done, I'm afraid it's too juvenile, so I'm thinking of saving the top for when somebody has a little girl baby instead. What do y'all think? Too young for a 75-yr-old woman?

The narrow border looks black in the pic, but is actually dark green.

I'm sorry but I have to agree with you. There are some really cute cat fabrics. I'll see if I can locate some for you.

Thanks, Jacque! I never entirely trust my own judgment, because sometimes I see stuff that isn't really there!

I just saw a posting for a site that specializes in cat fabrics. I'll look around there a little bit and see if I can find something that rings my chimes!

I agree with Jacque. When I first saw the picture I thought, "That's a cute baby quilt."

What if you were to downplay the pink, and upplay the green. You have a hunter green thin border. What if you get rid of the pink border, and do maybe a burgandy border? The burgandy would bring out the hunter green more, and it makes the pink more grown-up

I think it's a cute quilt, but yes, I think a bit too babyish for an adult.
Feline Drive is where you want to go for cat fabric.

I agree with the majority! Adorable quilt for a little girl or a baby.

Well, it's a cute quilt and now you don't have to run out for a gift if it's a girl you all ready have it. You shouldn't have a hard time finding cat fabric that tickles your fancy.
